Spa works

With summer fast approaching i thought it would be nice to utilise the spa that is in the back yard.

Until i opened the cover...

I thought it best to seek professional advice, so at the local spa shop, when asked what the problem was, I simply presented this picture.

The first step i had to do was run the spa with a ‘special’ dregreaser. This created some interesting scenes akin to the ocean after the biggest storms

That foam is about 10cm deep.

As my cousins and I watched on, we fully expected to see a horse head and/or body part rise to the surface

Then came the draining. One problem i found is that the drain outlet is at about a third of the depth of the spa, meaning some (about a third) of the water isn’t removed.

Not wanting to touch the water, i scooted to bunnings and purchased a submersible pump.

Once the water was out, i got mopping

First mopping with washing detergent. Then mopped with hospital grade disinfectant.

Afterward, a rinse and test run, then another empty. Then onto the real thing

So who wants to come round for a spa?
